The reference is to the failed "Blink 102.7" format tried by Infinity on WNEW-FM a couple of years ago.
______________

Which is why they should steer clear of "Blink". Who's going to want their show "on the Blink"?
______________

The WPN maybe?

How about the WPN (Warner Paramount Network, despite the fact that CBS and Viacom have split up) instead? I know it sounds farcical at the most, but you have to admit it's a whole lot better than the CW. Or maybe the WP?
Edited by RALfan on 01/29/06 05:39 AM.

WB + UPN = WPN?

Hmmm... it would work, or at the very least try to soften the blow of both WB and UPN vanishing.

I'm guessing the execs at CBS and Warner want to erase the identities of the failed entities. To them, the sooner "WB" and "UPN" vanish as network names, the better. "WPN" would be too painful for them to see all the time.
______________

Re: The WPN maybe?

I think you may be on to something. I am getting sick and tired of endless "World Series of Poker" shoved down our throat 24/7 on the ESPN family of networks. Where do I sign?
