It seems like a bad dream and you can't wake up at Wjrr.Bucket Head and crew are now gone with the way of the Fiasco.I mean Bucket Head was not the best thing to happen to radio but you could still listen to him and get a chuckle.Crash now takes over in the afternoons and Mel T gets the A M gig.Let's see what happens ,Stay Tune ??? ???

Clear Channel Orlando wasn't behind this one. They even had him on the air with Crash after he was let go. WJRR.com has the audio and BH's explanation.

The entire staff at JRR is as upset about these losses as you are. They didn't want the Fiasco let go, and they didn't want the BS to get canned. Never heard the full story about the Fiasco dumping but it is something they did wrong that got them let go...And the BS was a Tampa deal. Crash and crew have been very upset about all of this....That being said the station is in decent shape. The morning show sucks, but getting Mel Taylor for middays was a great move...And Crash is good in the afternoon with LT. So JRR will still be great (aside from AM Drive) as long as it sticks to it's Real Rock roots....

I'd be careful about buying that at face-value... when Drew Garrabo left Real Radio years ago, Clear Channel let him post a nice flowery farewell letter on the Real Radio website which made it seem like it was a mutual decision, everyone loved each other, no hard feelings, blah, blah, blah.
It wasn't until much later that it became known that Drew had been unceremoniously fired, and that the letter was nothing more than Drew playing nice so that he'd have a chance in hell of working radio again someday.
If Buckethead is playing nice now, it's probably because some corporate suit told him it was the only way he'd be able to stay in the industry.

As someone who was working at WTKS when the whole Drew thing went down, and someone who works at WJRR now while the Buckethead thing is going down, the Drew lashing out at Clear Channel thing I saw coming miles away. Drew was upset about being "held back" at night. While I have no idea why 98Rock decided to can Buckethead and Clear Channel insist on forcing Lex and Terry to the country, I can say that everything you heard Buckethead say about JRR on that phone call was real. I can't say he may or may not feel the same way about WXTB as I have no spoken to him about it.
Bottom line, no corporate suit from JRR, Clear Channel Orlando, or Clear Channel...anything told Buckethead to say nice things about WJRR.
