asbury park

Aside from ESPN Deportes 1310AM, does anyone know of any stations that include Asbury Park in their IDs? Does 94.3 The Point have Asbury as a legal ID?

It doesn't have to be the city of license, it can be a secondary (as in WJRZ Manahawkin, Toms River, Belmar). Past or present is fine (if you've got an aircheck of an ID of the past even better... esp something from early WLJK AM)

This is for a class project where I'm producing a short documentary about the city

3 stations are lic'd to that city:

88.1 WYGG/Asbury Park
94.3 WJLK/Asbury Park
1310 WADB/Asbury Park

Speaking of WYGG....

Wasn't WYGG supposed to use the W220AA 91.9 Parlin translator? Or did that fall through? I see Maria Liadus doesn't own it anymore, so Neal, what's the scoop?

Actually Maria does still own it.
We talk weekly.

Because of Issues over at WYGG. Its present on-air signal no longer reaches Parlin, and the Water Tank Blocks the
path to the Bird to receive WUPC-LP. We got the ok to translate WBJB. so thats whats presently on W220AA
Until I find another source

oh, i could've sworn i saw maria transferring the license at one point, according to the fcc app's.... now, what are the legal terms if you will, as far as what you're allowed to rebroadcast on translators? non comm only?
i've never really got the whole thing down pat. how far away does the originating station have to be in order for 91.9 to be able to rebroadcast it? Reason I'm asking, is that WVPH (90.3 Rutgers Livingston/Piscataway HS) are suffering with a signal that RSU blows away in Parlin. Any chance of 91.9 possibly doing that? Over the air's horrible in Parlin, the only way would be to pick them up via online.

Basically If I can hear it with a directional antenna over the air.(we are talking other non-Comms) I can translate it
the only difference is that If it is going to take a sat feed the primary station Must own the translator.
that transfer You saw. the deal did not happen.
I have even approached Rutgers, and Monmouth university to see if they wanted to use the translator. Neither responded back.

well, the rutgers/livingston people might be interested.... i do a show there friday nights, i'll see what their take on that is.
