Asheville's Rock 104.9 could become Rock 105.1

CC is looking to move 104.9 into Asheville to improve its coverage and move teh station to 105.1fm. This move is due to a upgrade in NE Georgia and the move to 105.3 Gaffney into Charlotte a few years back.

It looks like (FCC 60 db Google map) they will not much of a have a signal in Waynesville. Aren't there a lot of Arbitron dairies in that area too? They did a 5.2 (6+) #2 in the Asheville CC cluster where they are now. Is there a figure on the population increase in the new coverage? I wonder if the 62 meters and the extra 5.1 KW will work as well as the 482 meters they had. I use to work in the market and it is really hilly country and IMHO you need all the height you can get. Not a lot of concrete and steel buildings to mess with the signal.
