Ashley Madison Agency Spots On WBCN and WAAF

For what it is worth although they are not advertising on his show in particular and I have not heard any ads on WTKK during any other show, Jay Severin has been giving this agency a lot of air time this week as well.

I heard Severin mention this yesterday, and how WTKK would not accept their advertising (yeah, right; it's more likely that they didn't get on the ad buy.) He also went off on a tangent about how he joined the site and the oldest possible candidate for him was 32. It was at this point I almost puked in my car and had to change the station. His poor wife; good thing he makes a lot of money.

instead of getting a 9 from ashley madison for an absurd amount of money, just take a stroll down main street in wrocester, i'm sure you can find a 4 or a 5 for at least a third of the price.

what's the big deal about it being advertised though? smoke shops were advertised for years on radio even though "water filtration devices" (red = bongs) were illegal...even fireworks ads appear in MA...ads only appeal to the consumer buying the product, not the people who have no intention in buying the product

I'm typically one of those people who think that the airwaves are sacred, and I like to beat my chest about the sanctity of broadcasting.

That said, radio is losing money. Nobody should give them any flack for accepting advertising from anybody. If somebody wants to put his junk somewhere other than between his old lady's legs, he's gonna do it. Radio isn't exacerbating anything.

I don't see the issue. It's no different than the other 500 shady client spots that radio runs;

Viaprin
"this week's sure fire lock game"
Star Registry
Sub-prime mortgage lenders

Funny how if it's broadcast on Sunday morning at 6AM and advocates religion, it's mandated. Even though it potentially violates others' beliefs. If it provides an opportunity for 2 (or more..giggity) consenting adults to engage in behavior the state disapproves of, it's bad.

I'm not saying I agree with the service. I'm saying people don't have to use it...and if there weren't a market, there'd be no service. So, someone likes the idea.

Like playing the stock market...

One of the best posts in a long time! In the words of Rush fans "mega dittos".
