What happened with the turnover of Bob Bolak at the Saga stations?

At that time the merchant / radio relationships were very "established" with little room for "outsiders". That was before Walmart (if they have reached Asheville yet) decimated a lot of local merchants. Most likely things have not gotten better. If I ever hit the lottery, Asheville would be a nice to live and possibly have a station to "play" with, but I would hate to owe a bank a bunch of money and try to make it there.

Did you work at 1350 when it was WBMS or WONO? Didn't a guy named Larry McKay work there? He worked a longtime at WHIS/WHAJ in Bluefield, WV.
