Asleep at the Point

Someone was alseep last night at the Point. Just before 9, going into a stopset, there was a talkover bed that nobody talked over. Same thing on the end of the stopset, before going into, I think, Pat Benatar's Shadows Of The Night.

Weird.

lol

Kinda funny how their staff are as working as their numbers.

Re: Asleep at journal

i love how their outdated sweepers play...promo-ing shows that don't exist anymore

on mega you can tell their jocks have no clue about the artist their playing...mispronunciations and all

Eventually the powers that be will wake up to the fact that KZPT needs to be in its own format rather than flailing wildly trying to protect KMXZ. Protecting the cash cow is quite important. However as broadcasters (read that not newspaper companies that own radio stations) know, when you only own 3 FMs in this consolidated environment, it's bad business to use one to protect another unless the market is so crowded (Tucson is not) and they're truly compatible formats AND the secondary station gets real support to establish its position. You have to feel some compassion for the OM/PD and staff who knows better, but alas, what you're witnessing is not the right way, it's the Journal way. Pass the Kool Aid!
