Orange County, Texas - Checking the Astros website, the Astros have picked up 6 KW KLCJ 104.1 Lake Charles/Oakdale, LA. According to R-L their outer ring barely covers Orange. I can receive it somewhat at my QTH so for me maybe it won't be a long hot summer.
 
They can barely be heard at the state line...any tropo and KRBE will cover them up.
Hoping to carry Astros on 1300AM Lumberton but coverage in Orange isn't great. If I get a translator, that should have coverage into Orange from the right tower site
 
In Orange, KTRH can be heard during the daytime. At night, not so much. KBME is worse. Perhaps KLVI should sign on as an affiliate instead of carrying the reruns of talk shows.
 
Stan - I'm sure you remember when KLVI carried the Colt 45's/Astros in their beginning? If memory serves me after KLVI stopped carrying them they went to (KPAC)/KDEI for a few seasons until KOGT picked them up.

Yes, KTRH is listenable at my QTH at nights, more so that KBME but neither as listenable as in the past, now with all the noise and co-channel stations.

Looks that way..Carlos defaulted but around the 1st we chatted in email..I told him I would wave all back payments and late fees if he would sign it all over to me. He said ok but then the damn broker stuck his nose in and told Carlos the paperwork I sent wasnt legal. Total BS..it was drawn up by my lawyer...
So Im giving Carlos one more chance to sign a deed xfer in place of foreclosure...if he doesn't, I'll file foreclosure which will hurt his credit. Im willing to bet he'll agree to it.
The FCC is sitting on the renewal...there are some issues with it the Commission will have to resolve before a xfer of control can be filed..station is under silent STA so no big hurry..Im moving back to Beaumont soon which works put great for me..trying to find a decent rental that allows dogs is a pain though. Plus my savings went to zero after IHeartMedia laid me off last year and La unemployment sucks...got a gofundme going. In case anyone wants to help, its at

Well, I'm back in Beaumont..started new job on May 02 and sent Carlos the Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure on the 13th. He has 15 days to file it or I'm foreclosing..so it looks like 1300 returns soon if the FCC doesn't slam him with fines due to issues with the renewal. Talked with GatesAir about the xmtr...looks like it needs a new 12v PS module.. only $110 which shocked me. That should get the DAX running again. Gonna look at upgrading it later to 5 KW day/1 KW night since 1310 is gone and 1320 is moving to North side of Houston. May have to move one tower to throw more signal to the east..need to see what can be done with the current arrangement.

It’s been 15 days…has Carlos filed?
 
I'd wait to order until you have the station back and repairs can be made? But for all I know it's already begun to change hands.
