AT-40 Countdown Mix-Up

Was listening to the AT-40 Countdown today on KMCQ. The chart was from 1/24/76. When Casey played #32 they went to a commercial break. When they returned for the next segment in the countdown it was not the 1976 chart but from the one for the week ending 1/12/74! #31 My Music by Loggins & Messina, #30 D'yer Ma'ker by Led Zeppelin, #29 Mind Games by John Lennon, # 28 Jungle Boogie by Kool and the Gang and # 27 Rockin' Roll Baby by The Stylistics. The next songs in this segment should have been...

#31 All By Myself by Eric Carmen
#30 Let It Shine by Olivia Newton-John
#29 Over My Head by Fleetwood Mac
#28 Take It To The Limit by Eagles

Someone messed up. I don't know how these shows get sent to the subscribing stations, whether it is digitally or on CDs. I know originally they were sent to stations on LPs. Perhaps someone putting these sows together at the station pushed a wrong button.

Just found it interesting.

KMCQ put up something on their website and Facebook explaining this right as it was happening. Looks like they got it covered.

Do find it interesting anything these people do becomes front page news. They must die of laughter every time it happens. ;D

Whatever it takes to keep 'em tuned in.....

But seriously, it's nice to know there's HUMANS behind the computer of this station. Sometimes, a station crashes and nobody notices for hours and when they do, they NEVER mention it on on their site or Facebook.

"Die of laughter"? Laughing that listeners actually notice what's happening on your station? You can't be serious!

No, that is not what I meant.
I meant that KMCQ station people probably laugh because every time they do something (even something that another station would do but not get noticed or made a big deal), it becomes front page news on this board.
