AT 40 on 80s on 8 ?

Did 80s On 8 get rid of AT40:The 80s & replace it with a show hosted by the original MTV VJs?

Did the contract between Casey Kasem, etc. and Sirius/XM expire and not renewed?

Please tell me that it just moved to a different time slot and not just the latest bad programming move.

Yes, AT-40 The 80's has been gone for more than a month now. I don't know why they 86'ed it, but I agree that it was a bad move. I was told by the call center rep that no one, at least on the XM side, was told it was going to happen in advance when I called to cancel because they got rid of it.

I'm assuming the 70's and Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40 has also met with the same fate. I tried listening to the shows with the VJs. It sucks. I'm getting closer and closer to canceling XM.

Wow,they did drop AT40.I wonder if it was all the hacking going on with the shows.Thank goodness the premiere radios terrestrial version is still on the air,"For Free".

Cost cutting, I'm sure. Taking the '80s countdown in-house saves money, and that's what doing business in modern-day Corporate America is all about. Give the customer a mediocre product, produced as cheaply as possible, and show the Wall Street moneychangers the improved bottom line. I'm surprised they haven't tried to get everything voiced and produced in India yet -- or Egypt, which is becoming a lower-cost India for customer service phone operations.

the 70's still carries AT40, I think Dees signed a new deal with one of the terrestrial networks that didn't include satellite rights to his shows
