Many have complained of the quality of AT 40 with Ryan Seacrest lately. Although I didn't like the online voting for the show's first couple of years, there were several things I liked about the first couple of years of the new AT 40.
1. Prank phone calls with Ally. I especially liked the one where Ally called the movie theater about why they wouldn't show Farenheit 9-11 with Michael Moore.
2. Seacrest saying "Seacrest Out" at the end of the show. The funniest was when Ryan's mom sent him to his room for being bad at the end of the show.
3. A recurrent extra that included a song from a movie soundtrack after doing the weekend movie report, such as Allyah's Are You That Somebody from Dr. Doolittle.
4. Occasionally Ryan would play a recurrent that was over 10 years old. One time in June 2004, he played Summertime by Will Smith.
Why did AT 40 get rid of those features? I thought the show had potential with those features.
