AT&T To Disconnect "DirecTV" Name?

From that article...

"Here at FTVLive World HQ, we'd rather see Randy drop the policy of forcing customers into paying for crappy channels no one wants, just to get ONE you do! If he does that, then who cares what they call the service?"

Not sure how much trust to put into a source for TV news that doesn't even know that the channel bundles are forced on the satellite and cable companies by the "content providers.


That said, what's the point of changing the name?

And to what? RobLoweTV?
 
My dealings with AT&T tell me that if they re-brand it to anything, it's U-Verse. That's the brand they're pushing now.
 
And yet AT&T left Connecticut this past fall, with Frontier taking their place. It's basically been a big c------f---. I'd hate to see what they'll do nationally. :eek:
