AT&T to roll out TV service in 2008

When AT&T was by itself five years ago, the company bought cable provider, TCI Communications and renamed the cable service, AT&T Broadband. It was available in the Hartford CT area. However, Comcast Cable bought AT&T's cable service out, so this must be a comeback.Their offer connected with DISH Network is great. I have the DISH package with SBC/AT&T.

AT&T also bought MediaOne in 2000. In Atlanta (where MediaOne started in 1995), AT&T immediatly closed it's local call center and sent customer service calls to India. We discontinued AT&T Broadband (as it was called) a year later when our municipality started a cable service. Some of the AT&T systems in Iowa, Illionis, and South Georgia were sold to MediaCom (no relation to the original MediaOne), while the rest went to Comcast.Bellsouth (which is merging with AT&T) previously announced IPTV service to begin in Atlanta sometime soon using Microsoft technology. I have not heard when service will start.
