...you're both wrong. At The Movies was the name of Siskel and Ebert's Tribune-produced/distributed program. When Gene and Roger left Tribune for Buena Vista, At The Movies continued at Tribune with Rex Reed, Bill Harris and Dixie Watley for a couple of years and then evaporated. When Ebert announced he wouldn't be able to return to Ebert and Roeper, Disney simply reappropriated the title, since Tribune hadn't been using it for a couple of decades; The Mouse also tried desperately to tell us the current series was the same as the one Ebert and Siskel had been working on (it wasn't, and never would be). The recently-cancelled teleturd co-hosted by the grossly unqualified Dickie Roeper WAS NOT the same series Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert had in the '80s, any more than Conan O'Brien was the "fifth" host of The Tonight Show simply because the jerks at NBC were able to forget Ernie Kovacs, Al Collins and Jack Lescoulie in that lineage...
