Did anyone manage to tape the "classic" AT40 shows that were broadcast this weekend? They were from June 18, 1988 and June 19, 1971.

I did record terrestrial version of the 80s edition from June 18,1988. I still need to convert from cassette to mp3 but I will try to post it here later this week.

Ok I got it,I pick it up off 3 internet streams ,

Real Radio 96.9 Fitzgerald, Ga - at40 3.00pm est sunday which got interrupted with a EBS in song no8. lo-fi stream.

KOOL 105 FM – Denver Radio - at40 8.00pm est sunday The show started at late at 8.06pm 6.06 pm denver time ,HiFi stream, but the last 2 song were cut because the DJ,Board op,started the next show right on time at 9.00pm denver time.so that screwed the end up.what the heck what the since running a countdown show when the last top 2 song get axed off.

WTHZ - "Magic 94.1" Lexington, North Carolina at40 at9.00pm est, HiFi stream nice and clean , To finish the show.

BTW does anyone have a Casey Kasem AT 40 affiliate list of stations carrying the 70's and the 80's shows.please post it , Thanks an Advance.
 
This week's countdowns on XM:

Wed 7/23 - 70s channel - 7-5-75 @ 10P ET
Thu 7/24 - 80s channel - 7-12-80 @ 10P ET

Sat 7/26 - 70s channel - 7-22-78 @ 12N ET
Sun 7/27 - 80s channel - 7-21-84 @ 12N ET
 
XM 7 breran the 7-4-75 show on Saturday.
BTW, that's a rebroadcast of the first ever AT40 from 7-4-70.
 
Why are songs occasionally cut out of the AT40 rebroadcasts on XM? I was listening to my mp3 of the 7-4-70(75) show, and song number 15, Song of Joy by Miguel Rios, was completely cut out. Casey introduces the song, then it skips to the end where he again gives the artist and title. I remember another 1970 countdown where Cracklin' Rosie by Neil Diamond had only the intro and outro of the song. Why does this happen?
 
They didn't cut it out on purpose.....it was an automation malfunction. It happened one time when I heard the VT of Casey intro the wrong titles during the remaining 15 songs. It became unbearable to listen too.
Hey if you have an good MP 3 of AT TOP 40 first show...I'll trade you airchecks I have in the 80's or older. I have been dubbing cassette and CD of great airchecks I manage to record of decades and putting them all on my computer documents. Yes the cassettes are being tossed out.

I guess XM had a technical glitch on thursdays at40 on the 80's channel.
the show started on time at 10:00 pm and ended on time.but the show continued after the no 1 song. at the show start repeating at song 17 themn ran to the no 1 song.
