Noticed it started this morning 7am-11am.
electroboy73 said:Wow how long has it been since Atlanta had the real CHR version....(8, 9, 10 years)? Not sure.
But, what's REALLY weird is that now, I'm noticing just how many songs on AT 40 that Power still doesn't play. I'm hearing a lot of songs for the first time that have been on charts for for weeks! Even way up the chart, songs like "Home" by Phillip Phillips will play for the first time, ever on Power...(via AT 40).
In fact, just in the last 45 minutes, they played:
MEGAN & LIZ/Bad For Me
THE READY SET/Give Me Your Hand
CHRIS WALLACE/Remember When
TRAIN/50 Ways To Say Goodbye
MIGUEL/Adorn
....(ALL of which have never played on Power before)
But, it's all just interesting to me and these are not actual complaints...(Per se'). Cuz trust me, I'm glad to hear AT 40 back on, in it's true form in Atlanta.
What's next? Tomorrow, maybe Atlanta will discover fire??![]()
Thoughts?
Speaking of Casey, if CC flips 105.7 or 105.3 to oldies classic hits they could run Premiere's AT40 The 70s or AT40 The 80s on it.RadioDoogie said:I completely agree. I am all about local and am deeply saddened at all of the voice tracking and satellite programming as well. I think my point is that AT40 is something we all grew up listening to with Casey Kasem and it is good to finally have the program back on in Atlanta Radio. Who knows, if Power 96-1 had come years sooner, we may have had a chance to actually listen to Casey Kasem during the dormant 90s when AT40 didn't exist on Atlanta Radio.
I think you meant 105.3. 105.1 is out of Helen and doesn't make it past Gwinnett towards town.secondchoice said:I forget who said it but 105.1 is (should be) an Urban signal. Unban oldie with "blue eyed*" soul would be cool.
* Hall & Oates, Righteous Brothers etc.
