AT40 on XM WYSL got a mention

Listening to AT 40 tonight on XM 70's on 7... as they do the top 40 from Sept 1975!

In addition to hearing lots of great 70's tunes the A/C and oldies stations have forgotten Casey did the usual ....heard on great radio stations including WYSL Buffalo!

Did any other Buffalo station carry AT40? I ran it on a couple of stations in Miami (WGBS and later WQAM). It was always interesting. The artist bios and song info made the show for me. There were always kids listening to check the ranking of their favorite songs.

American Top 40 ran on 102.5FM in Buffalo and perhaps others that I can't remember. Today, I think STAR continues to run one of the successors to AT40. When I was working at WMNS in Olean, we ran American Top 40 on Saturday mornings. In fact, I have about five copies of the show, which back then was distributed each week on vinyl.

In the early '80s, KB ran AT40 for a few years. It first was on between 4 and 8PM on Sunday and then moved to 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays, IIRC.
