1---- PEARL JAM ---- Brother---
2----YEAH YEAH YEAHS ---- Zero---
3-----DEPECHE MODE ----- Wrong---
4----FRANZ FERDINAND ---- No You Girls----
5----MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE ---- Desolation Row---
6----PEOPLE IN PLANES ---- Last Man Standing-----

Haven't heard the Pearl Jam song yet but if it's the top add (seeing as the song is actually an outtake from Ten in 1991), that just shows was little future any new music has.

Franz Ferdinand's new single is GREAT. Of course, since most stations reporting as Alternative really tip more Active Rock, it probably won't gain much traction. Yeah Yeah Yeahs song is decent but I still think that this band is a little too quirky/wierd for most mainstream stations (their big hit "Maps" was somewhat of a fluke).

My Chem cover is good but won't garner much of a response besides initial interest due to it being a Dylan cover.

WFNX is playing 5 out of those 6 songs in the rotation. All testing well I would assume. The Pearl Jam add is a no brainer. But yes, your average run of the mill crappy actual active rock in disguise "Modern Rock" stations won't touch the rest of them.

Ah yes, you're familiar with those ersatz Alternative stations; the one here in Savannah, Georgia, the abomination that is Triad's WFXH (Rock 106-1 aka "Active Rock Masquerading As Alternative Rock") has been suffering under that delusion for years now. Maybe one day soon another company will provide this market with a station like X102.9 for those of us who love the format and want to hear it in its undiluted and proper form.

Oh yes, there are QUITE a few offenders. Some off the top of my head: WEND in Charlotte, WPLA in Jacksonville, and the station you mentioned as well. These stations barely play any real modern rock so why they are even on the panel I have no idea!!
