Problem is, most of the big Atlanta AM sites are in floodplains--by design, for cheaper land and better ground conductivity.
WSB's is not, and it's been redeveloped. All those off Cheshire Bridge are in the Ptree Creek floodplain. WCNN's big 8 tower array in Ptree Corners off of Spalding is in a floodplain. WPLO (now WDWD) 590's old site off of North Druid Hills became apartments back in the 80s, and they moved to el cheapo land out in Powder Springs (and in a floodplain). I think one of the Cheshire Bridge towers (WNIV 970?) came down in the last decade and then piggybacked onto another nearby tower (WGKA 920?).
Most of the remaining big multitower sites not in floodplains are in currently-unattractive locations. This includes WGST, WAOK, WTZA, and WWSZ (the old WAVO in Scottdale). The last one does have some development nearby, though.
