Atlanta is like a reverse oreo cookie. It has a sweet chocolate creme center(ITP) surrounded by vanilla cookies on all sides(the OTP'ers) with some hispanic sprinkles spread through out the vanilla cookies. Then imagine further looking at said cookie and in the upper northwest quandrant of that vanilla cookie you will notice traces of a fortune cookie.

This is exac... well, this was the demographic layout I had pictured in mind. Not much has changed since late 90's - 00's. Thanks.... pretty much all I needed to know.
Wow, ATL has actually grown since the early 2000s, especially African American wise. More of us are now living OTP along 1-20 East Lithonia/Conyers/Covington and basically south of town into all of Clayton County. Notice the amount of Pirate stations in East Dekalb not be served by genreal radio.

The breakdown of de facto racial segregation in the ATL really hit the gas in the 00s. Whites (at least singles and DINKs, ATL public schools still being worrisome despite some improvement) are moving back in town in numbers significant enough to make the black Powers That Be worry (witness the last ATL mayoral election), and the buppies aren't sticking to Collier Road, Clayton (with school issues of its own), or DeKalb south of I-85 anymore for OTP living options.

Even the "black" parts of Gwinnett (JCB/Meadowcreek) are getting more integrated, primarily with East Asian or especially South Asian (Indian) immigrants.

Well, that's a good thing considering Atlanta might actually become the first truly integrated metro in the Deep South.
