Atlanta Falcons ESPN/NFL network games to simulcast on WANF this season

You learn something everyday. I thought the NFL sold the local rights to non OTA games, not the cable channel or the streaming company that have the national rights.

I wonder if WANF will pick up the Falcons Thursday Night Football game as well.

Monday Night Football šŸˆ is a national package just like the Sunday games. IIRC the NFL requires OTA local coverage for both team's home market*. I am sure ESPN offers the game to everyone and the highest "bidder" in the market gets it.

"Not sure if the non sellout local blackout rules are still in effect.

Just checked; if Google A.I. is to be believed, the Falcons/Packers game will not be simulcast on an OTA Atlanta station. It's an Amazon exclusive. That could change between now and 9/24.

The game will have local broadcast availability, as is the case with all NFL games on Prime Video.
