No actually not. I have just watched the demise of a great format that I have been listening to for 20 some years and that is my opinion of JJZ. Check Watercolors or Sirius to catch a glimpse of what it should be. Just my O-P-I-N-I-O-N which by the way starting a thread so open ended, thought you would or others appreciate.

Watercolors does play a lot of real SJ but they are waayy too relaxing and moving into snoozy territory more every day. They play the right artists but they could choose better songs by those artists, especially since they are also shifting towards only playing the "singles" which are of course chosen and tailored for the BA format.
Academic anyway because the merger has been approved and under the watchful eye of (former BA henchman) Shirley Maldanado, they will be phased out and Sirius' SJ channel, which plays lots of covers and pop vocals, will be all that is left.

did you see the ratings for sirius' jazz cafe vs. watercolors? watercolors beats jazz cafe by thousands. if this new huge merged satellite company chose jazz cafe's version of smooth jazz over watercolors', they'd be crazy.
This is a corporation we're talking about here and watercolors is more interesting than jazz cafe so you figure out which one Mel and the gang will keep?
