If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, its rating would be just about the same as WGST.

Nice!!! LMAO!!

This gets my vote as "2006 POST OF THE YEAR"...so far, anyway.

Saw they just hired new producers for Tom Hughes and for Denny (someone he worked with in Toledo). So that tells me they're stickin with at least two of their talents for the long haul.

Isn't this the third producer in a matter of months for Denny? Guess the others couldn't tolerate Randall and his tourettes syndrome.

Makes since they'd give Hughes a new producer, maintaining a 0.2 share is harder than you might think. Denny's new producer is from Toledo too? I guess this means another kickback to Mike Wheeler.

Good thing they don't have to run the place like an actual BUSINESS!!

Grumpy Hughes, for years upon years, has had an amazing ability to convince PD after PD at WGST that the reason that his show sucks and gets no ratings is because of the of the PRODUCER.

Randall in just gross, that entire station is a waste of dial space, what is cc thinking keeping randy around, can't they see what he has done to the station, they sound worse than they ever have. both randall and gst are the joke of atlanta radio.

GRUMPY OLD MAN

Why so grumpy Tom? Is the mattress in John Hogan's guest bedroom not comfortable?

They need a new morning show, but no on-air talent can change the fact that from dusk ‘till dawn nobody outside Buckhead can hear GST.

True, but even with the weak signal they had twice as many listeners just a year ago.

I think Pete, Jim and Kari may factor in to that. Anybody else agree?

Then why did they dump syndication?

Of course, as I've said before, they could save the hassle and expense of having a midday host and associated staff by having kept Glenn Beck (and keeping the sister net happy) or at least replacing him with Tony Snow or similar. If you're going to get clobbered, why pay anything to get a 2 share vs. your competitor's 15?

Do they still uplink GNN out of there?<P ID="signature">______________

FYI, Denny's producer traded places with Tom's producer. Denny's new producer worked with him many years ago in Toledo. Tom recently got another new producer. Tom and Denny are both on their 4th producer.

Wgst can compete with WSB. Here's How1. Totally agree that they need a stronger signal, It baffles me that a station in a top market would let this linger as they have.2. Denny out! the honeymoon is over, his ratings are horrible and show no signs of changing. Replace him with Laura Ingram.3. Rush stays, he is the only reason that GST still has the sponsors they have.4. Hate to say it, but Kimmers out. I think as a person he is great but I think all of his personal issues have made his spot on the radio for him a job and not much fun for the rest of us. Replace him with Dennis Prager.5. Tom Hughes stays, if he had a stronger signal watch the ratings.6. Bloomquist, are you still here goodbye. look in the mirror and fire yourself and go get a job in an HR department.

Robert Combs asked: "Do they still uplink GNN out of there?"Yep. Years ago I argued that GNN could survive on its own merits. I still believe that. GNN doesn't need WGST. The network has an outstandingsuccess record over the past quarter century.

How by the way Mr. popups to you propose to get them a stronger signal? It is what it is and can not be improved.

Of course, "give us a bigger signal and we'll show you ratings! All we need is a bigger signal!" is what they said when they moved from 920 down to 640. The 640 signal really was better -those who think it stinks now are right but trust me, it used to be worse. Anyway, the move to 640 worked for a while and really did bring ratings, but looking back on it, I think a good chunk of it was because WSB hadn't gotten their act together. That changed.
