Fish always drops in the summer when the carpool moms are on break. Fish probably has more seasonality than the sportstalkers. Fish always does terrible in the summer and super-great November-December.The fish dropped big time what’s going on over there are people finally discovering K-love ?
I highly doubt iHeart would invest in a quality morning show product that is LIVE and LOCAL. Radio these days (ahem corporate) IMO have become dull and lazy. And I just think Top 40 isn’t what it used to be. Noticed it went downhill when the pandemic hit. But I do have to say, Taylor Swift has been making some catchy music recently. She’s probably keep Top 40 radio listenable let’s be honest haha.I think Power needs a live and local morning show to compete with Q99-7. As talented as Jubal is, his Atlanta show consists of tracks from the prior day. (He's in Seattle.) Even a syndicated show that's live would likely be more competitive.
BTW, Jubal gets beaten in his home market by his former station.
Tells you that Atlanta can support a full-powered AC station that flips to 100% Christmas around that time.Fish always drops in the summer when the carpool moms are on break. Not 105.3. Not enough coverage north of town.Atlanta radio can, maybe at least TRY a River or a Lake on 105.7/105.3 and just see what it will take them. Should The Bull or Power continue to founder I’d say put an Adult Hits station on one of these two. Perhaps flip Power 96.1 to Adult Hits or AC. Charlotte has the Lake and it’s doing quite well. Of course different markets lead to different demographics but you won’t see Power go back to 4.0 + unless some real changes happen.
They had a live and local show until a couple of years ago, and their ratings were better. Carrying Jubal is more cost effective, and enables iHeart to amortize the show over more markets. But they have to weigh whether airing a more economical morning show is worth taking a hit in the ratings (and revenue) that lasts beyond morning drive.I highly doubt iHeart would invest in a quality morning show product that is LIVE and LOCAL. Why don't they physically move Jubal to Atlanta? Atlanta is a bigger market. I sure the commercials of a competitive CHR in Atlanta are much more than in Seattle so from a corporate view Power is more important than Seattle. Plus if they really want to syndicate Jubal you don't have the 21 plus hour delay on the east coast so today's bits are heard today not tomorrow. He could be "live" or delayed a couple of hours at several stations. Or they could start him at 3am Pacific time if he won't move.I think Power needs a live and local morning show to compete with Q99-7. AgreeYawn. Atlanta radio is so pathetic.
Probably bills too well. I would like to see how it would do up against The Fan on a comparable FM signal hypothetically.92.9 The Game needs to go, Such a monster signal with a dreadful, boring format.

No new hit music. Arguably pop music is at its lowest point since the disco airship crashed and burned.I wonder what is fueling this?
Lower than 1981? Not sure I buy that. Also CHR was pretty bad around 1992.No new hit music. Arguably pop music is at its lowest point since the disco airship crashed and burned.
Mmmm... Z93 would have had to quit going so deep. Z93 was great for classic rock geeks but not for the general public, and they were also competing with 96 Rock at the time.I can’t help but think if they would have stuck with the Z93 classic rock format, they could have been what The River eventually became, #1 with double digits.
I know absolutely zip but it would not surprise me if iHeart brought back 96 Rock on either 96.1 or 105.7.Classic Rock stations are getting big ratings these days in many markets, even in young demos.
