Will Classic Hits ever come to Atlanta
97.1 The River has that covered. I know a lot of people don’t consider it to be classic hits but it’s close enough to keep a competitor from launching another classic hits station IMO. I personally prefer The River to anything Audacy puts out called classic hits these days (which ironically are sounding more and more like The River in trading pop for more rock).

If someone wanted to try a gold based station I think Adult Hits would be a better idea, but I don’t see Atlanta getting an adult hits or Mainstream AC format. All of the operators in the market seem pleased with the performance of their stations.

The River is really Classic Rock though they still use the Classic Hits moniker (but also say they have the largest library of Classic Rock).

As mentioned above by Second Choice, FOX-FM, using the 102.1 translator for the east side and 100.1 for the west side, has a Classic Hits format.
