Atlanta Ratings May 2024

In a lot of markets Urban or regular AC's P1's make more money than the younger demos. That's what I based my guess on. As has been stated many times we don't see "the money demos". It's all about the money.

The V use to be the only game in town (coverage wise) for decades. In the 1980's and 90's some would call it a cash machine. It's hard to live up to a memory. As an old white guy it's hard to criticize Urban One but as a former stock owner I believe they should be doing better financially and I will leave it at that.

I had a client that ran an ad campaign in Atlanta in 2020 and ran the numbers for all stations. WVEE was the most expensive by quite a bit, followed by WALR then Radio One.

You have to remember that V103 was #1 in all major demos consistently for over 20 years. They were also owned by CBS Radio who heavily invested in all of their stations, and charged a premium for it. Kiss is sister stations with WSB-TV which is Cox’s flagship station in their home market, and has dominated Nielsen since they started tracking.
