The best bet to hear Baltimore house music and old ATL bass is during MAGIC 107.5's live club broadacst on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday nights. DJ King Arthur, DJ Feel X, and DJ Nabs play it all!
WAMJ is in SUPER CRUNK MODE right now. They did a little bit of old school dance with Robin S. in it, then got into the booty bass set and even a touch of UK 2 STEP! The whole thing lasted for about 40 minutes, and this time they didn't wait until the club broadcast was about to cut off on the radio to start doing it. They just did their modern dirty south "bounce" set.
I could only imagine what it would've been like if there was a rhythmic "wild style" party station or Power 99 throughout the 90's... Who would've played more bass? Hot 97 or the party station? One thing for sure is there would've been a bunch of bass, house, AND even freestyle.
