Arbitron disqualifies two diaries in Watertown, NY
Arbitron says “two Fall 2009 Watertown Metro diaries were returned from a household whose participation in the survey was disclosed to a media-affiliated individual.” It is being alleged that the diaries may have skewed the ratings in the Watertown market in Upstate New York, and Arbitron will now release a new combined Spring 2010/ Fall 2009 ratings report on August 4. Arbitron adds that “Audience estimates for WBDR-FM (106.7 "The Border”) may be substantially affected in particular demos and dayparts. Estimates for stations that received limited amounts of listening in the diaries may also be affected to a minor extent.“ You can read more about the situation in Watertown from the local CNYRadio.com here. WBDR-FM is owned by Community Broadcasters, LLC, which also owns five other stations in the area.
Didnt this happen not too long ago and wasnt the old team blame for it? Now the new team gets caught botching up diaries. Who takes the fall now ?
