I really like this market for CHR/Hot AC radio. You have 99.3 KISS FM which sounds amazing and also WAYV and WSJO which I plan to listen to in a few. The market also seems not too small, but not too big. It looks like KISS FM does the best getting a 9.2 in the book, but what's your personal favorite out of the three?

Also, what is it like living in this area? I'm considering moving there after college. What's the weather like? Is Jersey Shore an accurate representation, are there a lot of jerks or are the people really friendly? Is there a lot of crime? Is there a good shot getting a job in the market, both radio, and jobs period.

Jersey Shore is NOT an accurate representation of this market. The closest it comes to that is in the island shore towns during the summer, and that's still not the local/native crowd.

Job wise, if the newspaper classifieds are any indication, probably not too much out there, depending on what you do. Casinos have been cutting back, but a big one just got approved for financing, and there's a small one coming soon after that. So, consider dealer school, or something like that.

Radio gigs, I'm guessing they're few and far between. Most of the CHR you mentioned is automated. Less and less live jocks, which means less and less openings.
 
It is VERY hard getting a radio job in AC. I've been in promotions getting barely more than minimum wage for about 2 years now. There is nothing else usually. And the people in south jersey, for the most part are pretty nasty.

There are 6 radio stations for sale in the Atlantic City area (5 Atlantic, 1 NJN)

But you could probably make way more money as a poker dealer than working in radio, and all you'll need to do is deal cards all day.
