Atlantic / JVC Broadcasting jumping ship ???

I have to say its been a while since the master of numbers PH has shown his face around the building and our fearless leader JC hasnt been aroung much either. When he is around you cant seperate him from the sales manager. Hey John when you look back what were are those "Problems" you had to fix. Are you still using the excuse that you were handed such a terrible situation? You were given cash flow good people to work with and the best numbers that cluster has seen in 5 years and you couldnt make it work. It wont be long till JC finally throws in the towel and removes himself from the situation just like Northwood Ventures has because thats the kind of leader he is. Ask his sub par radio company in NY. Hey JC if your the man you promised you were than make it work. Maybe you should go down on the ship rather than your sales manager... oooops !!! I guess when a sales person is black balled in Philly with no real sales experience you make her a sales manager and you wonder why numbers are embarrassing. She doesnt have enough experience to take up an office desk much less be a sales manager. Great move. Ill give it 2 weeks before this joke of a management team finds another spineless puppet to take orders. NJ I think youve seen the end of JC until those money bags promised show up. When the going gets tough the worthless find a reason to not show up for work. If I said anything that wasnt true please I invite you to prove me wrong. Keep up the good work and I think Ben aka Travis something should get a raise for the hard work he pretends to do each day.

Thats Just "What I Heard"

Ok, please do not shoot me for asking. But i have been reading the messages you guys post about Atlantic Broadcasting and the poor sales team. I know you blame it all oh John Caratchiolo (sp) and Vic Latino. So my question is, why not hire people to train the sales staff. I followed the link on this website for Advantage Systems Inc. this looks like a real powerful company that can deliver results?

Has anyone had this training? This guy's (Keith) quotes on this brouchure are powerful. I am curious to know if this would benefit a newbie like me?

Hmm now that you mentioned it.....

There are a group of weiners that got laid off from Nathan's that can fit the job description. ;D

I found it funny that while driving around yesterday(my new career)I heard the Original Fudge Kitchen on WZXL, isn't that a Pinky Kravitz spot? You're telling me Pinky and Equity can get them but Atlantic Broadcasting can't, hmmmmmmmmm? Is "What I Heard" right?

Another great source for helping a young inexperienced sales team is Sandler Training. Finding power in reinforcement. All the Local Sales Manager for Northwood/JVC/Atlantic need do is find the local authorized licensee. They specialize in sales training, developing management and ledadership skills, executive coaching, keynote speakers, assesments, and systems/process implementation. Plus, she might be able to get the local Sandler franchise to do a trade, so that the company need not pay cash for this service. Sandler gets commerical advertising and announcements and the radio group and their investors get the training they need to help them sell commercials and make money. We are in a tough economy, especially for radio, and they are in an oversaturated radio market, and they have just come out of what is their best selling time of the year. I just hope their different brands made lots of money between Memorial Day and Laobr Day, to stash in the bank for the long cold winter The next nine months in resort radio can make even the best sales team wither. Do good, be well and happy.

If Wild was on the air for more than 2 years and down the red, then yes, I would agree.....the station is on for only 2 MONTHS!! Give me a break! ::)

Ok "d21ofnj" Wild gets a pass what about WOND, The Shark, Kool, and even La Fiesta? Your bitterness is making you short sighted.

Nobody cared or mentioned here about those stations in addition to WJSE for that matter before the mess at Atlantic happened with Brett in charge/Arbitron diaries.  If it weren't for that, or for JVC to come and place Wild on 102.7, nobody would even bother or care with what's going on behind the scenes of Atlantic, Brett would still be GM, no ratings "frauded" or done "in-house" and JSE would still be here.  The bitterness of losing JSE is what is making YOU GUYS short sighted on Wild.  And that's the REAL reason on this bashing of JVC. Whatever "What I Know" stated earlier is the truth, and you still overlook it.

Again this isn't about Wild it's about sales! "D21ofnj" your just bitter about your job and can't wait to bash the BEST radio station owners ever because they fired you, maybe because you have no idea how radio works? If you did you'd see the only reason Atlantic is on these boards so much is because of the things that JVC is doing to Atlantic Broadcasting. Sales in the tank, morale in the tank, and from what I'm told even the station gear is falling apart(computers, speakers, etc). My previous 15+ years in radio tell me you're just an angry angry man who can't wait to get it that building but my guess is even 'ol John C won't hire you back.

Let's get this straight. You don't know me. And no, I wasn't "fired from Atlantic." I believe if JVC knew what they were getting into, and realize they can't save the "so-called Atlantic sinking ship," they would've pulled out by now just like with Party 87.7 in NYC.

I'd have to second both points: I'm pretty sure he's an impartial observer, and I haven't seen JVC ever be shy about pulling out of an arrangement if they're even approaching failure.
