Atmospheric conditions...

... seem to be allowing for some interesting FM catches in Maine. Signals from MA like WXLO, WMKK,WROR and WAAF boomed in like locals this morning... and mid-morning on Baxter Blvd in Portland I picked up an FM from New Brunswick... 100.5 out of St John (CIOK-FM)!

Any other catches of note?

Down here in southeastern MA, I'm hearing many stations from Maine. Just about every Portland station except 106.7 has been in here like a local when I point the antenna up there. WJBQ and WBLM have probably been the strongest, with WBLM coming in HD with no problem at all. 103.3 from Rockland has been coming up over WODS at times. A few from Bangor have been in and out as well.

Unbelievable weather = unbelievable DX..
Here in the NEK Vermont, boston and portland 94.3 , Jamn 94.5 WBCN 104.1 some 104.5 Portland. rocking and rolling Like Locals...

wish it was always like this :)

the 104.5 wouldn't be portland...it's either 'XLO from Worcester or WVMJ from North Conway, bot Hot AC's

it was WXLO...
I remember the Calls. I can see why too the stations a screamer...

WDEV came up on my seek this morning in Newport, NH - which I have never seen before pop up. So I listenend. Almost bought some cedar fence posts. Seriously...

Also, 99.9 The Buzz has been coming in pretty clear in Newport lately too.

Haven't heard any Maine stations.

I normally get most of the Boston radio stations clear as a bell at my house anyway so that didn't stike me out of the norm.

In southern Connecticut yesterday morning (Monday) there was also a number of stations doing well from the east. WCTK 98.1 was full quieting and sounded local. There was fading in and out of WHOM 94.9 but I can usually get a trace of them 50% of the time.

Yes, they have been for several months now. I'm actually able to hear it quite frequently down here, although not usually as strong as it's been the past couple days. I can also hear 90.1 WMEA's, and sometimes I'll get the HD indication on 93.1 and 100.9, but it never locks, because of strong stations on the adjacent frequencies down here.

The spanish station on 100.3 out of Providence (I forget the calls) was coming in over Z 100 (WHTZ) in New Haven, CT this morning. Z 100 is usually pretty clear in this area.

Damn right WBLM is in HD. Unlike the lame-os at Frank. Not that there's anything worth hearing coming from them these days in HD or otherwise.

No wonder they're in the crapper, our Viking friend is too busy posting on message boards to care about the "product"!

I remember while being in Fall River MA being able to pick up KTU and BLI without a problem a couple of times. I thought that was cool. In Ohio, it's easier to pick up stations from a distance because there aren't as many of them south and west of me. The New England dial especially southern is so crouded with Boston, the Cape, New Bedford, and Providence all within 40 miles of me. I considered picking up a station like XLO a success

There was definitely some WACKY CROSS CURRENT RADIO on Tuesday! Particularly with 96.3FM...WLOB.

Even though the station had recently moved its transmitter to Gray, Maine...I kept getting a combination of Ted Talbot, Ray Richardson, and some 'chick' from Scituate, Massachusetts! ;D

I thought The Twilight Zone ended when its creator (Rod Serling) passed away? ???
