LG halts production of ATSC 3.0-compatible TVs over patent concerns

Citing a 'challenging and uncertain patent landscape,' LG has suspended the inclusion of ATSC 3.0 tech in its 2024 TV lineup. The decision stems from a lawsuit LG faced from an entity called Constellation Designs.

Dang all the TVs I seen released in the past several years are going towards picking up internet signals and TV apps built in to the system. Then again I need to be in part of the country where people really do watch TV on OTA ATSC.

All the annoying commenters praising him plus Tyler’s own occasional temperamental attitude ultimately turned me off to his videos. I unsubscribed and removed him from my suggested feed. I think this guy’s on the spectrum. He also became more compromised over time too taking kickbacks and recommending products that aren’t always good.
