Attention Archway engineers - serious 94.3 problem

I have no hard proof, but 94.3 seems to be emitting some sort of spur that is tearing up 101.5 WRAL-FM bad in the Greenville area. Anywhere immediately near the tower site 101.5 is unaudible through static and some off-frequency modulation that matches up to whatever is on 94.3. It continues around Greenville, worst in west Greenville, closest to the tower site. I haven't filed a complaint with the FCC, nor will I if it's fixed, but as a 101.5 listener this pisses me off pretty bad... transmitting outside of your assigned channel is a no-no.
______________

and do you think posting here is the most effective way of
reaching those engineers?

Did you try:

W G P M-FM Mix 94.3 Radio Broadcasting: Studio Line - 5.4 miles W - 1502 Blacksmith Ln, Greenville, 27834 - (252) 830-0943

1) that line was when someone was actually in the building at the transmitter site... it has now been boarded up

2) there are no DJ's on 94 Hank FM (it has not been Mix 94.3 for years)

3) if there were DJ's, what the heck would they do about it?
______________

Search was done using 94.3 Greenvile. Bitch at Google, not me.

DJs would call the engineer, duh! Got to be more effective than whining on a radio board.

I guess, if they cared enough. I'm calling the main office line Monday and ask to speak to an engineer.
______________

Just because it is on Google does not make it the gospel truth. The WGPM calls are long gone too; it was WWGL for a while before taking on the current WWNK calls. No telling what it will be next week.

Never said it was, but if the Studio Line is correct, it'd be a more effective way to communicate TO them.

Please don't interpret this as a flame, but the impression I get from most stations is they really prefer the listeners did not call. We can't deviate from the playlist. Callers don't understand that. That is, if they get past the front desk person or the after-hours answering machine. This is radio. You civilians wouldn't understand. Get off the phone, kid, we're trying to run a radio station here.

I think that sucks too, but that is the basic phone attitude at most big-stick stations these days.

I have never had any problem with leaving a message on someone's voicemail, but apparently you do. Why did you not call an engineer like you said you would?
Not a big enough boy?

Either out of town or at work myself every day, with no time to call until it was outside of business hours. But by your email I see you work for Archway, so that's all irrelevant. Now how about getting the problem fixed?
______________

I can now report that it has been fixed! Drove by the area on the way home from work and found the static gone. Listeners of 101.5 and Kiss102 (yes, it had spread to 101.7 and 101.9 as well) thank Archway for fixing it!
______________

the problem was already fixed before my reply was posted, but still feel free to call the station during regular business hours. The engineering staff is always available. The office number is 252-672-5900. I'm sure there is always going to be an excuse for you not to call, since you would rather complain indirectly on a website than speak directly to someone more knowledgeable than yourself.

252-672-5900, huh? Man I'm gonna have me some fun NOW.
