Attention Savage listeners:

I had a conversation yesterday with some one at TRN in Oregon which is the syndicator of the Savage nation and others. He was well aware of WPRO dropping Savage after last Friday. I told him how weak WHJJ appears to be in the 6-9pm slot when all 3 hours of Savage nation are live. He told me I was very perceptive and they have many people in affiliate relations working on these situations. He told me he could not comment about on going negotiations but if I did not hear Savage or an announcement about his program by Monday to give him a call on Tuesday. I will take that as a good indication things are close to being finalized.

If it's true. Alot of folks here in Providence thoughtCharles was gone but yet I stil hear him on WHJJ.

Contradiction?

I just went on the WHJJ web site and their schedule announces that they are the new home of Savage Nation from 6 to 10 p.m. http://www.920whjj.com/pages/Schedule.html
I have no doubt that WHJJ will do very well with Savage Nation. What I find eternally puzzling, though, is why a state that ratings show loves conservative talkers consistently sends liberals (OK, RINOS) to The U.S. Senate. Could it be that, at some point in the past, from-out-of-state management at HJJ looked at election results as some sort of indication of what programming would get numbers???

NICE!!!!! This will be about the first time in three years that I'm looking forward to becoming a regular listener to HJJ again! I knew this would be a good idea and I'm glad that someone else obviously thought so too.

After talking to someone at TRN and Savage showing up so quickly at HJJ,contrary to what WPRO says I have to believe Savage nation was heavily pursued by HJJ who probably made a better offer to TRN which would probably include playing some of their ads in time spots when Savage nation is not airing.

yup, via Fybush:>>A further update to the evening talk shuffling taking place in RHODE ISLAND: with Jay Severin replacing Sean Hannity in the 7-10 PM slot on WPRO (630 Providence), Hannity moves to the 10 PM-1 AM slot there. That displaces Michael Savage, who moves up the dial to Clear Channel's WHJJ (920 Providence), knocking ideological opposite Randi Rhodes and local host Geoff Charles off the late-night lineup.(back to me)WHJJ had been conservative talk; when they switched to Air America, the ratings took a nosedive, and Frankenand Springer were let go. Now Randi hits the Rhodes.>>What I find eternally puzzling, though, is why a state that ratings show loves conservative talkers consistently sends liberals (OK, RINOS) to The U.S. Senate.Massachusetts too

Their overnight hosts have been awful (larson and the other guy). They should move Randi to the AM,like they do on weekends.
