Attleboro's WARL to have emergency info supplied by AACS Cable 15.

Good news! Now a very important swath of S.E. MA has an emergency go-to with a powerful signal in the region! I would love to see more symbiosis between cable news and local stations in emergency situations; for similar communities. Win - win for everyone!

It is. The new studio is gorgeous, the station is back in its community of license & this could be the start of something new. I know the Comcast cable outlets seem to all be community-run instead of by Comcast so maybe these independent entities in other areas can reach out to their local stations. Brockton, Fall River, New Bedford, etc..

Glad this is happening, since many local radio stations have virtually no staff anymore and are pretty helpless in a crisis.

If you had read the Sun-Chronicle article more carefully....you would have discovered that the new studio is for the CABLE CHANNEL.... not the radio station. As far as I know, WARL still hangs out on the 5th floor of that building on 127 Dorrence Street, in downtown Providence.

As long as this teaming up with the cable channel cost little or nothing...I'm sure Peter Arpin was all for it.

Now...if he would only do something with his other broadcast property, 990-WALE in Providence.
