Sounds like a good job for WHOKILLEDRADIO. Doing live overnights would make you change your name to ILOVERADIO!

A live overnight shift? Cool...a small company in a small KY city can do this but all the king's horses and all the king's men can't do it at the #1 station in Louisville. Hat's off to Forever Communications!

Well said.

Holy cart machine Batman! You mean there is a company out there that's going to do radio the way it used to be done?! This is just crazy talk. It will never work. Who do they think they are putting someone live on a overnight shift?!

:D I always get a huge chuckle when people equate (or confuse) "live shift" with great sounding radio.

I've been LIVE about 90% of my days in radio. But I also recognize the frustrated and insecure who view pre-record shows/automation/ voicetracking and see them as an afront to them having a real radio career. So, they measure whether a radio station or radio show is great based on whether it's live or voice tracked when, in reality, one has nothing to do with the other. That's all I'm saying.

I miss being live. An active rock station should just be live, period. Overnights, not such a big deal, lol.

So, using the thinking we see from so many, you believe overnight listeners *deserve less*?

No, I didn't say that. What I meant was, for these companies who try and pinch pennies, if they're going to pick a shift that isn't live, it should be the overnight shift since it isn't crucial to overall ratings.
