Attn Engineers.... Can You Help A Brother Out?

I need to know if there is anyone out there that can help us with a serious problem. Overnight our main STL at WEKS FM went out... just crashed and burned. Not a huge problem... our engineer came in and switched us over to our backup. Then early this morning it started over heating and turning off! We have the air down to 60 and a fan blowing on it so it is not going off as much. But we are trying to find an analog composite unit that we can "borrow" until we can get the main unit back or this one working. If you have one or know of one we would owe you a huge one and be eternally greatful. If you can help please call me at 770-599-1923.

WE GOT ONE! I can't believe how many people were willing to help. Thank You Thank You Thank You! Anyone that thinks this board is just used for infighting and insults needs to know that we are a community that is willing to help out our brothers and sisters.
Thanks again

I'm glad someone was able to help out, etc. One thing that seems to get overlooked many times, especially in the non-comm world (where I work) is lack of backup units. In our case CPB and PTFP grants will only pay for new equipment and one of each. That leaves engineering to figure out to come up with something as a backup because there is on $$$ to buy backup equipment... Scary to say the least! Without friends in the business there is plently of opportunity to go off and stay off just due to lack of backups.

This is so very true. The non-comm I started at lost their STL a few years back and they were lucky enough to find someone to loan them a spare (in fact, the station's GM ended up driving some milage to meet the gent with the spare). I would venture the say that the vast majority of non-comms neither have backups nor the budget to keep them in their racks.
