I tuned into old KRBE last Friday around 10:30 pm and what did I hear? The pulsating sounds of dance music. Carson was live from a club on main street and they were sending the love our way. I don't know if this is a regular segment or not.

I doubt 91.7 hits Austin, but you'd love KTRU on Friday nights too.
 
Thats good news! I'll half to check it out the next time I'm down on a Friday, usually I'm in on Saturdays thanks for sending the info, I'm wondering if dance is making a slow comeback? Seems like 1067 in san antonio is playing a little more dance & 104.1 KRIO is playing dance friday and saturday from 1-4a. Dance is dead in Austin, you might hear DJ sammy Heaven on KHFI, but other then that its dead. KTSW in san marcos use to play drum & bass every sunday night, but I dont even think they do that any more. I did catch some good dance over the weekend down there, from KRBE to KVIC, I was even catching Hotz from corpus was playing some good dance. Maybe it will make a comeback?

Oh yeah, I can recieve 91.7 out in Lavaca county most of the time just if the conditions enhance from Austin it goes out. I'll half to check them out as well.

What you heard was Channel 104 live from Ultra nightclub. It is a regular 4 hour mixshow on Friday nights starting at 10pm. Its been on for about a month now. Its funny you happened to be talking about this particular night because for some reason I was compelled to tune in this past weekend and roll tape. I was looking forward to it all last week. Some good stuff but.. the Beat its not and that DJ is no Mark D.
I'm also hoping for the return of some good dance music on KRBE. Very tired of all the mainstream and hip hop they've been doing from The Surf Shack. <P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by rageradio on 06/21/05 11:01 PM.</FONT></P>
