auction show on c band tv

Not so long ago, there was a posting about an auction show on the Satellite Program Network. I remembered the show, but I only caught a little of it waiting for a show that followed it.

A decade or so later I finally got a c band satellite dish and found a crazy nut on weekends selling knives and such. He was fun to watch. I don't know if he was naturally funny or what, but being that his shift was midnight to 6 am eastern time weekend mornings he had a lot of fun. I can't remember which shopping channel he was on, but I know it wasn't a major channel.

Are there any other c band satellite owners out there, and do you remember this guy? My c band owner days ran from August 1995 to Summer 2005.

Just wonderin'.

I remember the show airing on WPAN In pensacola late nights. They also sold old watches some nights on the program/network?

"Telephone Auction".

The format was s staged (obviously) "auction", and once an auction "price" had been set, the show peddled the merchandise being "auctioned" to viewers, who could call a toll-free 1-800 number and buy them item at the "sold" price.

You can watch on You Tube a clip (quality not the best) from a "Telephone Auction" episode at

You can see a parody of "Telephone Auction" at:

There was also Shop at Home Network selling knives, and currently, on some cable networks, the Knife Show/Cutlery Corner. I think it aired on PAX as well in late night hours IIRC.
