AUDIO: Brandi Hunter on WKXP's "Lite-FM" - 7/9/20

About 5 months ago, I posted an aircheck of the stunting and the launch of "Lite-FM" at 94.3, so I decided to give it another go. Here is another one from earlier this morning featuring Brandi Hunter. As you probably know, Brandi Hunter was from another station somewhere in the Hudson Valley where she has been for years. She had her morning show on the new "Lite-FM" back in Feburary, and now, this is 5 months into the new format, and it gets a lot better than the other competitions like WGNY-FM's "Fox Oldies" and WBPM, so thanks to WROW's "Magic 590/100.5" up in Albany with the departure of two of my favorites, Bob Johnson and Richie Norris (aka Rockin' Richie), both jocks were completely let go back in April due to the coronavirus crisis, except for Jay Scott which was part of Jay & Ben was also being let go from the station. and none of the DJ's are on "Magic" anymore. The only two jocks left on are Ben Patten and Kevin Richards who used to do "Lunchtime at the Oldies", but it moved to afternoon drive back in the beginning of June where he did his first afternoon drive where he took over Bob Johnson's time slot from 2-5PM, the rest of the late afternoon and evenings are running jockless which I hate so much. Other weekend shows like "Saturday Night at the Oldies" and "Sunday Golden Memories" are also now running jockless, but Richie Norris is not there. I'll have to post more airchecks from "Magic" down the road. To get back to "Lite-FM", since they brought many of its audience from "Magic 590", "Lite-FM" at 94.3 is starting to gain more listeners from "Magic" and "Fox Oldies", "Lite-FM" is getting a lot better than you can expect from any of the station, and it does a really good job of grabbing all of "Magic 590's" listeners to 94.3 which is the new "Lite-FM" to make it an impact. They are heavily focus on lighter than light music. They're playing 70's, and 80's songs that you can hear on "Magic 590", plus 90's, a few 2000's and the 2010's. The new "Lite-FM" is a ton better than WROW's "Magic 590/100.5" and WGNY-FM's "Fox Oldies", because oldies is an "Endangered Species". Enough already. Here is Brandi Hunter on WKXP's "Lite-FM" from earlier this morning.
