Audio Chain Improvements on Music Channels

I am noticing fuller and more vibrant audio on many of the music channels this evening, particularly the rock and alternative channels (probably only because I listen to those the most).

Am I hallucinating, or has anyone else witnessed this?
 
The audio processing they are using now makes the audio sound "fuller". It's really noticeable on the XM version of the service where the audio, for a long time, sounded "thin" IMO and had to be improved with an equalizer.
