If you have not listened to “Magic 590” yet, here is an aircheck from a month ago which was back on June 1st, and this was when WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” decided to make some minor changes to its lineup. Kevin Richards was moved from noon to a new time at 2PM where he took over for Bob Johnson where he was let go from the station before the whole COVID-19 started, and Kevin Richards now does his first afternoon drive show without Bob Johnson. I missed Bob Johnson so much on “Magic”.
And now, a new guy came on “Magic”, his name is Chris O’Neil. He is also a program director for WFFG’s “Froggy 100.3” as a country station where he is now doing Noon to 2PM replacing Kevin Richards. He continues to do afternoon drive on “Froggy 100.3”.
As I was listening to his show, I’m not a Chris O’Neil fan in general, but I don’t like his show so much, not so good for the noon to 2PM slot, so I went back to WCBS-FM and listened to Race Taylor, and he does a really good job. I have to give his Chris O’Neil’s show a pass.
