What does he mean when he says he took a gamble, and it paid off? Is he talking about going on The Regular Guys or the WGST thing?
 
A farce, a joke, a phony, pathetic, a laughingstock

That was probably the most brutal and absolutely pathetic radio performance I have ever heard.

This was a guy that was bragging that he was going to win this GST contest and make everyone else look silly?

This guy is counseling married couples? But who is counseling him?

Please hold the onions too with regard to this myth being perpetuated by David Paul himself no doubt, about what a stroke of brilliance this debacle was.

It's insulting.

As I have written before, this pathetic and immature perfomance did nothing to further this guy one itoa. And for Paul or anyone else to insinuate that this was a contrived and pre-planned stunt designed to get him some attention, please hang that theory up and let it go.

Big deal, the Regular guys had him on, big deal he'll be on again this week.

He's nothing more than an unmitigated disaster, a laughingstock, a spectacle who's reputation as far as Atlanta radio is concerned is ruined forever.

He huffed and he puffed and he fell down on his face in a manner unlike I have ever heard previously.

And if David Paul has any guts or any credibility left at all, he'll get back on here with his atlantaradioboy handle and let everyone else know that he simply imploded with no other excuse other than that he couldn't execute and lost his nerve.

If he does he'll get my apology and some respect back.

I felt sympathy for the guy a little bit after this thing first happened, but with these curiously apologetic posts and these "he did it on purpose" excuses, I mean give it a rest, these things are nothing more than a huge insult to anyone's intelligence.

I mean really now who in the heck is David Paul? A has been and a never will be again in Atlanta or probably anywhere else. He's a non-factor a non-entity, he doesn't matter and this will be the last message I post on this guy because as far as Atlanta talk radio is concerned he is invisible and out to lunch for good.

GST, WSB, the 2 live pughs, Air America, I'm up for comment and conversation on any of these articles and more.

But David Paul.

Dude, what is your problem?

You seem to have let David Paul under your skin really bad. I don't know if it was planned or a total meltdown. I just know that I have been entertained by it for about a week now. That is more than I can say about all of the other hosts combined that WGST has tried out so far.

Entire WGST audition process has been a joke. One retread or no-name after another. Months of managers fighting over turf. No concept of what would make a show's success. Fun to watch, from a train-wreck perspective.

Wouldn't it be funny that if David Paul was the only one to land a job after all this is said and done? It may be on another station, but it sure would be funny.

Are you serious? You have been "entertained"? You must be real shallow and very easy to please and your expectation level must be minimal at best. I find it outrageous that you are defending this fruit cake David Paul and that you claim to be entertained by his melt down performance and his appearing on the Regular Guys show. The man suffred an apparent near nervous breakdown on the air form the sounds of things. The Regular Guys, The Kimmer, everyone at WGST and in fact the entire Atlanta radio community is laughing themselves silly over this clown. I listened to the sound clip and it was worse than I had ever imagined. This WAS NOT some publicity stunt. To hear some people like you though Lazy, you appear to believe this was a hoax on the level of War Of The Worlds. David Paul is not even close to mattering in radio in Atlanta and has not been for some time. By the looks of things he isn't ticketed for stardom or a paying role anywhere, which if he was and received any kind of a position based upon his hideous "hoax" then it would explain his alleged brilliance in my mind. But he was nothing more than a guy way in over his head. He was a scared cat on a hot tin roof during that 3 minute melt down plain and simple. Anyone who believes it to be anything else is living in a state of delusion. As for the rest of the GST search for a new talent I agree this thing is as played out as it can get. David Paul is over and done with for good thank goodness. But will the madness that has become GST ever end?
 
let David Paul redeem him self

yall just please let David Paul have an oppertunity to show us he still has it in the field of talk radio, he was the talk radio god in the 80's and early 90's I know some where deep down inside the man can redeem him self why knock the guy and say he is a has been and washed up. The man certianly isnt finished with talk radio by a long shot just give him a chance before making harsh judements aginst him.

I agree with Guarddog079. Give the man an opportunity to redeem himself. He was the most controversial talk host Atlanta had 12 years ago, and now, maybe unintentionally, he is doing it again. He has overshadowed every other host that has auditioned by a long shot by just walking out. Maybe the guy was just scared out of his mind. I just know that he sure is getting a lot of attention around this town. People like the underdog. People like the long shot. This could turn out to be like the movie Rocky.

IT WAS A STUNT....from the school of ANDY KAUFMAN....I betcha the little weasel doesn't even want the Braves Radio 640 GST job.....instead the little weasel wants and is now getting your attention. I have learned in my radio career..that the bizarre is more interesting than the sane...weird gets people talking....and the bizarre strange weird weasel has you people talking. Not to mention being more interesting in doing so than probably 90% of the people currently on-air anywhere in Atlanta, GST or otherwise.

So dont go on that theory alone... Im a loser, washed up has been,
nothing good has happened. But who knows, a lot of talk is going
down about David, Hey dude, your there, now show us what you have
get back in there, and fight to win the spot that is yours. We want
back red sock fridays, and all of the other stuff.
