AUDIO ON THE GAME 1560

I have noticed in the past few days that the audio on 1560 has changed. High frequencies have been cut from it. I wonder if they are going HD soon?

I noticed a change also. Hopefully they're not going hybrid, and considering how tightly they're squeezed in between adjacent channel stations, I'm probably not the only one. KGBC 1540 Galveston and KWBC 1550 Navasota/B-CS might "feel the noise."

I think KGOW actually sounds better now, with a more robust audio quality. Previously it was a bit bass light and treble heavy, and also sounded as if certain audio frequency ranges were missing or deemphasized...sort of like someone screwing with a graphic equalizer. KGOW also at times sounded like a low-res MP3 file, with noticeable digital artifacts on the audio.

Perhaps this is the (alleged) new transmitter? They might finally be getting their technical act together.
