AUDIO PROCESSING FREAKS WILL BE INTERESTED IN THIS

Which station NYC station is this? I think this is the wrong place for soundprocessing related topics. It fits beter in the 'engineering' part of this board.

The unprocessed sounds better. Sounds like a pair of CBS Volumax's with processing and eq. The soundstage completely changes. The vocal is pushed to the left, the right channel goes almost to the center and the noise softens the output but is noticeable both on computer and a pair of Klipsch speakers with sub. The eq alone might be better.

The plate is apparent and makes the background sound tinnier, not fuller.Maybe a bit squashed with the compression, which doesn't sound multi-stage.

Noise floor is very apparent and the soundstage is really moved to almost half of the unprocessed.

Straight sounds OK.

Compressed and EQ'd
Too much interaction between frequency/gain changing the sound of the mix.
Not pumping but odd presentation of elements as singular sounds snipped in rather than a complete piece.

w/Reverb

I like the reverb, there's just little too much here. I'd like to hear the unprocesssed with reverb.

These don't sound like airchecks, they soudn like they're right off the line.
