I'm looking to find out what processing (orban omnia etc) staions are using in Pensacola, Destin, etc. Anyone using a Omnia One. I am looking to purchase one and would like to hear it on air.
Here is my processor lineup:
WPAP Orban 8500
WFSY Orban 8500
WEBZ Omnia 6Exi
WFLF Orban 8200
WPBH Omnia 6Exi
The Omnia One seems to be an ideal small/medium market processor, but don't expect it to be competitive with units such as the Orban 8400/8500 or 8600 or an Omnia 6Exi or better
Couldn't comment on the 8600 as I've yet to hear one. The Omnia ONE can keep up with the 8400 though, I've done that shoot out directly. It would help to have the latest software, though. Keep in mind, the 8400 is 11 years old now.
I am building a class A and the budget calls for a One or a 8100. Looks like it will be a One, unless I can find a 8100 with a 0 card and XT acces port, but most of those I've run into a way too expensive for 20+ old processor (especially if it needs to be recapped). I was hoping to hear a One on a station in the area.
The Omnia One with the new software is very competitive with the JAX stations here in St. Augustine. No question, CCENG knows what he is talkin' about.
