Audio-Technica ATP tonearm balance and headshell questions!

I have a Audio-Technica ATP-16T tonearm in my home studio. I use it with my Technics SP-25 table in a custom plinth. Balancing this arm is tricky with my Stanton 681 EEE-S II cartridge. It lives in a SME headshell. I don't have the original headshell. Would it be better suited for the tonearm regarding balancing? If anyone has a spare, please let me know. I need one!
