My first week here and we're having issues.... I'm not familiar with the system so I'm not sure what if anything that *I'M* doing wrong. The "GTL Simple" file which times out our hour is being dropped in at 20 minutes past and then the hour starts all over again. A reboot only solves this temporarily...What's going on? Paul B. Walker, JrMorning Drive/Music DirectorCountry Thunder Z96 KYYZ-FM Williston, ND

What do you mean it's being dropped in a 20 minutes past the hour? The GTL Simple command will throw out everything that has not been played in the hour once it's time comes around. If it's scheduled for the end of the hour, I'm not sure why it would fire at 20 minutes past - I haven't run into that problem before.

You can use the GTL anywhere in the hour. Heck, one station I worked for had three of them strategically planted ahead of spot breaks, in order to keep those breaks reasonably on time. The key is to tell your GTL when to update to...then schedule music that you'd not care if you dropped just ahead of that break. If it's dropped in at :20 past the hour, then make sure that your GTL says 20:00.
