AudioVault Import question

I have a question for the AudioVault experts. When using AV ImportExport to import (and overwrite existing) wav files, I will occasionally get an error message box "Invalid property array index (Error 381)". It happens on certain files every time I attempt to import them and I end up having to dub them in real-time using AVRPS. Any pointers on what the issue might be?

Can you put one up that errors every time on a file sharing site? I will test it between multiple versions and see what I can find.
Thanks! I'll do so when (if?) I have time in the morning.

(SOLVED) Re: AudioVault Import question

Bit-depth! Adobe Audition wanted to save mixdowns as 32 bits. I changed the option in the settings to save files as 16 bit and AudioVault is now happy, happy, happy.

Interesting... My 32 Bit files that people made my accident would import, but play at super slow speed.

You may want to set the 'New Format' Property for all to be 44.1, No Compression, 16 Bit. Then AVImport would convert if it were done wrong.

Is the "New Format" setting something to be configured in AVImport/Export? I'm just a part-timer so I am not privy to the gazillion settings possible with the various modules. Although, I have been shown how to set up macros via the INI files. My head still hurts from trying digest that! lol

EDIT: Not 100% sure of which version we have. It's of 2006 (ish) vintage.

Well, there are two different programs.

AvImportExport only did .wav and did not provide for any type of conversion.

AvImport came later. It facilitated scanning directories in real time, as well as importing mp3 files. AvImport can convert files on import, adjust gain, set trim & tones, assign new names, etc...

AvImportExport is really a legacy app with no further development. AvImport on the other hand is being improved and will soon offer the ability to do FTP & HTTP downloads, etc...

I'm going to assume AVImport is an extra-cost addition. Too bad. I've developed an app to somewhat automate certain downloads we need for make-goods. I can tag the files with CartChunk tags that AudioVault likes, but alas...the legacy AVImport/Export doesn't read the tags. *sigh*

AV Import is not an "extra cost", should install with the suite. But you have to set it up to "run the rule" as opposed to just selecting an individual file to import.
If you don't have access to this its likely that the engineering staff has not set it up for one reason or another.
