Audiovault Net Delay

How do you do the following in Audiovault:

Playback a pre-recorded show (say Dean Edell)
Insert local spots

Without having to build the whole hour, spots and all?

It would seem there could be a way to insert virtual relay closures in the show, that would fire the local spots, and then re-join the show at the appropriate place.

Could in Prophet....(The Win3.1 version...things got a little different in NexGen but I think it was as easy too)....used to record LoveLines and then when it played back, it inserted the proper commercials in the spot sets......just using the 25Hz decoder to denote the start of the set and the last commercial would then go back to the show...
Its been a while since I dealt with AV but Im sure there's a way to do it...
 
We used to record loveline and play back the same cart on the air...recorded it as one file and played back as one file and fired commercials...all the while it was still recording. Love prophet.
 
We did that once...but most of the time we were delaying LL a day for playback between 10 and midnight CT.. Still miss the old CFS system.....(got Top in Class at their academy....nice place for training but Ogallala left a LOT to be desired in most areas ;)
 
Need more info. Are you using AVSat or AVNet or both? Is AVAir a part of this? Virtual contact closures are NULs in audiovau.ini. Think of a NUL as a wire between two points within the same computer. For example, when I receive a contact closure from the network, it is handled in AVSat as Indicator1. Indicator1 is programmed to then output NUL1 to AVAir, which will start the automation, where the spot break lives. Let me know.
